From brief to delivery
Share the intended customer, occasion, fit direction and product references. Drape, volume, length, neckline and coverage should be described alongside the visual direction. If you are starting from an idea rather than a final specification, identify which design decisions still need development.
Fabric composition, weight, transparency, lining and finish affect how the design behaves. Trims, fastenings and decorative details also need to be considered in development. A reference image is useful, while swatches and physical samples communicate qualities that an image cannot.
Fit and construction reviews should lead to a clear set of corrections. Agree the size range, style and colour quantities, material choices, labelling and packing before production confirmation. The required scope, sourcing route and delivery schedule are reviewed for each programme.
